During my internship at New Balance I worked on multiple footwear projects on some days more than three shoes at a time, but the 645 stands out from most of these projects because of the amount of input I had on the product. I was in charge of developing all of the initial material and color designs for this shoe as well as refining the design linework. After many meetings we narrowed the designs to these. This is the first shoe that I have worked on that has arrived on store shelves there should be many more coming next quarter!
This is a short video that shows the idea behind the Burj Dubia Maritime Suites. This project was one semester long and its main objective was to give a mega-yacht feeling on a 58 foot platform. My team Cris Rios, Kasia Lys, Jim Baker Jr, and Kara Samuels, and I developed a strategic business proposal that puts our Dubai based design into a real life marketing context.
At this point we are referencing our sketches and orthographics to develop Alias models and Deltagen visualizations. The final proposal will include animations demonstrating functionality and aesthetics.
High End Visualizations: I was responsible for creating realistic foil labels that reflect light and shadows in realtime. Also I modeled the parts of the bottles and the store environment for a Proctor & Gamble consultation.
I have been happily assigned to Team Dubai. The group includes three Industrial Design Students and two Interior Design Students. Right now the group and I are researching Dubai, and the people that live there. We are gathering images for inspiration by taking trips to a yacht showroom and the North American International Auto show. Two other teams in the Studio have been assigned their cities to design from.
